The Spatz wooden figure was designed by Lucie Kaas Gunnar Flørning in 1958. The Danish designer was inspired for his wooden figure by the little cheeky sparrows in front of his window in his workshop. He found it difficult to capture the nimble birds in a drawing. One autumn afternoon he finally succeeded in building a perfect wooden figure.
The small sparrows are made of oak or chestnut wood and are available in different sizes. So the wooden figure is a decorative and playful eye-catcher, especially when there are several of you in the group.
