No one masters the art of paper folding to such perfection as the Japanese. Astonishing shapes, preferably animals and flowers, sometimes consisting of several hundred folding steps, created using the technique known as origami. Still fascinated by this look, designer Firdos Anwar created the unique LOTUS bowl. The inspiration came from the flower with its clear, symmetrical shape, which has always stood for purity, harmony, and renewal. The highly polished stainless steel has been transformed into a hall of mirrors in which exotic fruits, nuts, and pastries perform a lively display. Unlike paper, the unusually thick stainless steel (1.8 mm) is considerably more robust, forgiving of minor bumps, and even dishwasher-safe.
