Quentin Tarantino’s character, Jackie Brown, makes the best of bad options. Working as a stewardess for the worst airline, she doubles as a smuggler in order to escape the poverty that would have otherwise imprisoned her. When caught by the authorities, she orchestrates a scheme to free herself from all those who try to use her. Jackie Brown is the ultimate player who won’t be played.
